Philosophy
Start with the BREATH
Our breath is the only thing we have control over in life and it can be so powerful…still we often neglect it. Practicing breathwork gives us the space to create that body-mind connection, to bring us to the present and to feel where we need more focus during movement each time. Where do you breath, how do you breath and in which position defines how your muscles are. Where you over and under use them, how you activate or not your muscles and where you develop symptoms in your body. Thinking about my chronic UTI and hypertonic pelvic floor….all I needed to do is to learn the right breathing strategy and be consistent about using it in practice.
Create INTENTION
Movement is something we all do—often without even thinking. We walk, bend, lift and breathe our way through the day on autopilot, guided by habit rather than awareness. But when we bring intention into our movement, change happen. Intentional movement transforms simple actions into opportunities: opportunities to strengthen, to reconnect, to restore balance, and to cultivate presence in the now.
Create ALIGNMENT
When we create alignment, we give the body a chance to work and breath efficiently, and move with ease. It’s the moment when our bones, muscles, and breath begin to speak the same language. Alignment isn’t about perfection; it’s about awareness. It’s noticing where we are in space, adjusting with curiosity, and choosing positions that support strength rather than strain. As we build this connection, we create a body that moves from a place of stability, control, and confidence.
Practice CENTERING
When we lead movement from the powerhouse, we tap into strength that feels grounded and purposeful. Centering invites us to
connect to our deep support layers, rather than gripping or bracing,
move from a place of stability, so the limbs can move freely with less strain,
protect the spine, especially during load, rotation, and transitions,
create efficiency, allowing the body to work smarter, not harder,
build confidence, knowing the center is engaged and responsive.
Have FUN
Although we take movement and precision seriously, we need a good laugh to elevate our spirit too :)
